Happy Mid to Late December

So what's up... Zones went well. Damien and I drove up to Carleton Place on Friday and checked out the curling club before retiring to the hotel for the evening. In the morning we won our first game which qualifies you for the A Final in a 4 team zone. So there we were in the final, and managed to pull off a win despite being down for most of the game. It took a draw to the pin in an extra end, but we still won. So we're off to regions again.

We've got our Christmas tree up (it's about two and a half feet tall) and we've got some lights on the mantle next to the collection of bobblehead dolls. Tomorrow will bring the greatest holiday party in the history of mankind, so I'm sure we'll have some good stories about the 12 Bars of Christmas. Other than that, I still have some shopping to do, but I'm doing alright and should be able to finish it on the weekend.

It's amazing how Christmassy you can feel just by lighting a tree.

I have a paper to finish before Monday, which shouldn't be a problem. As far as word count goes, I'm already more than halfway there, but as far as content goes I'm going to need some inspiration soon. However, I'm working all weekend, so I should have lots of time to write...

Other than that, I'm off to Alberta on Wednesday!
