So... on the weekend I headed out to Toronto Island with Tai, Greg, and Clarissa to see the Virgin Music Festival. Over the two-day event, featured performers were to include The Smashing Pumpkins, Bjork, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Jamie T, K-OS, The Stars and so on. It was fun, but frustratingly organized event. Other than feeling like I was on my feet for two days straight, having to hastily arrange a craigslist related ticket sale (the one i bought on ebay still hasn't arrived!), there seemed to be a lot of unnecessary hassle to do everything from entering the event to buying food and drink. It seemed (on Saturday) that we were constantly waiting in line. We managed to avoid most of the lineups on Sunday, and the band lineup made it far more enjoyable, even though the weather was more miserable. As for the actual music, I'll write some sort of review soon, either on this site (under randoms) or on Greg's gigsanddiscs.com.
All I have to say is that Bjork was weird but entertaining, and Jamie T was awesome...
