As the title suggests, my biggest news lately is that I've acquired a new niece recently. On Wednesday of last week (November 7th, 2007), my sister Sue had a baby girl named Lucy. She was 7 pounds 11 ounces, and everybody is healthy and happy.
I'll get to see Lucy, and the rest of my Alberta family around Christmas, because it looks like I'll be in the Calgary area for a week or so in late December.
In other news, curling is going well. We suffered a tough loss last night in mixed, but I'm sure we'll get over it. I'm playing this weekend with my competetive team in Harriston, which should be a good time.
My greatest pain right now is that I'm trying to write a paper for school, and just can't seem to wrap my head around any sort of motivation. I'm just drained. Everybody I talk to from my program seems to be having the same problem. It's due on Monday, so I'd better get something done soon!
My back is feeling mostly better, but still not 100%. Some days are better than others. Capo is staying with us for the week as Leigh is away on vacation. It's nice to see him, and he finally remembers that we used to be buddies. He was a little hesitant at first. These entries are getting more boring by the week!
We're doing another Toronto Film Challenge next week. This one is a 24-hour competition. We actually auditioned some actors a couple days ago, and I think it'll be fun to write again. This one is a comedy challenge, so whatever we do... hopefully it's funny.
Oh yeah... I took some good pictures of a building that was on fire near us. I'll put one up shortly.
