GREEN TEAM SCORES RECORD LOW AT FLEMING OLYMPICS

So I spent the weekend up in Perth with the softball guys for the 13th Annual Fleming Olympics. The event has been a summertime tradition for them for a while now but this was my first visit. I headed out with Matt on Thursday and played around of golf, which was highlighted by birdie on a short par 3. The rest of the round was pretty awful, except for one drive that was about 315 yards, and dead straight.

On Friday, the official events started. There was another round of golf, which was also pretty awful except for a good shot on a short par 3, which scored me the Closest to the Pin Award. There were some burgers, some steaks, and teams were picked from a hat. The Green Team had the rookie, Steve and Jay H. We knew we'd be in a bit of trouble, but nothing could have prepared us for what happened.

Saturday morning, we got smoked in volleyball, 3 point shooting, soccer shootout, bocce, and homerun derby (although I did hit four and make a couple nice catches).  Then we got waxed in euchre, boat races, the water relay, and already having secured the worst scores in the golfing event... long story short, we finished with the fewest points in the history of the event.

It was a great time... and I'm too tired, sunburnt, and sore to explain more.
